Happy Fall!

   I ran across this meme the other day and I think I took it wrong. I love the holidays, especially Halloween. Living where I do, fall is an amazing time. The Northeast is full of the iconic images of fall like rolling colorful hills, apple picking and little kids trooping through crunchy fallen leaves dressed in costume going door to door trick - or -treating. So, when I saw this meme and was like "yay! Halloween and Christmas are coming", and then I thought about it a bit and realized that the meme wasn't supposed to be taken that way. 
   I came away from this experience relearning two things. The first being that all things are relative to those who are submerged in them. I found excitement thinking about the upcoming holidays and even thought this meme wasn't meant to do that I decided it could for me. Which leads me to the second lesson, everything has a positive side. Yes, summer is over and that's sad because the weather will get colder and that dreaded white stuff will start falling soon, but there are things about the later half of the year that are special and I'd spend fall and winter a much sadder person without them. 
   So my question to you is this, What are you looking forward to this coming fall and winter? Do you love all things pumpkin, apple and spiced? Do you miss Christmas lights and snowmen? Because the reality is that each time of the year is special and it is special to everyone for different reasons, so I'd like to know what makes them special for you.
