I'd originally planned on talking about summer concerts and all the iconic images that go with them i.e: blankets, sunburns, lighters lifted high swaying with the throb of sweaty drunk bodies but then I ran across this article and thought ... why not talk about this instead. So I found this article, On Consequence of Sound , while looking at images that would be iconic enough for this post. As I was scrolling I found loads of pictures of concert goers on blankets, under bright colorful lights and trucking from the stage to the beer tent but then one caught my eye. It was, instead of massive amounts of people scrunched together holding lit lighters, a picture of massive amounts of scrunched up people holding lit up cellphones. I was intrigued so I checked it out and found it was an article that was all about how cellphones are disruptive at concerts. It states specific artists and how they handle cellphone use at their concerts and talks of this new app (only available for iPhone at the moment) that is supposed to change the way concert goers use their phones. I thought I'd take to the blog and see how you all feel about it. Do you use your phone at concerts? For light, recording or taking pictures? Would you think about using an app that makes your phone darker and less disruptive?
